This unit replaced a stacker unit that came with the house I bought. The dryer quit working so needed replacement. This new unit doesn™™t feel as stable as the other one. It shakes loading and closing the door to the dryer. Hard to figure proper temperatures for drying.

Worked great for the first year and a half. Suddenly started having an issue where the drain pump constantly goes. Looked online, surprise surprise it's a common issue. There is a recall on the model but my serial number is out of range for their Technical Service Pointer so I'm SOL even though it's EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE IN THE SERVICE POINTER. Even asked the representative if I went ahead and repaired it out of pocket and they expanded to my serial number if I could be reimbursed, and was given a non committal answer. All my appliances have been Whirlpool til this point, but after their total unwillingness to help with this basically new washer, I will never be buying another one again.

I wouldn™™t buy a whirlpool again! First one was broke worked for 3 days. 2nd one came full of water no idea why. To many other quality brands out there to choose from.

The unit is very wobbly and the start button are very cheap. I'm afraid they will wear out shortly or my finger will go through the buttons. Poor engineering. Very disappointed as I expected much better from Whirlpool. I hope our new kitchen appliances aren't made as cheap. They arrive soon.

At first, I was skeptical about the washer and the water filling the tub and not being able to do it myself manually and I thought that it was going to be a hassle because the washer automatically locks while filling with the water level. But now, 2 weeks since it was installed, I am getting used to it and to trust it more. The results so far, have been very good to excellent as my wash come out very clean and that's the whole idea isn't it? Clean Clothes!

I had my stacked laundry center for over 20 years. When it quit working last month we bought the current model. What a disappointment. It is so lightweight that opening and closing the dryer door shakes the entire unit and even moves it a bit. The washer spin cycle does the same thing - so much so that we need to put in cushioning on the sides to keep it from hitting the cupboard next to it. And it was shocking to discover that there is no alarm when the dryer is done.

I purchased this washer-dryer directly from Whirlpool™™s website and it has been one of the worst buying experiences I™™ve ever had. From the very first use, the drum was detached, internal wires are visible, and the machine makes loud banging noises.
I called customer service several times, but they only transfer my call and never provide any real help. The technician they sent said it was ™normal,™ which is unacceptable because the unit clearly arrived defective and poses a safety risk.
I did not expect this from a brand like Whirlpool. Terrible customer service, no support, and no real solution. I do not recommend buying from them.

the first one was delivered and shook and dryer door was near impossible to open so another one was delivered and the first couple of times I used the dryer it screeched and the 3rd time it was nonstop. I looked it up and it said DON'T use it so I am waiting for a repair company. I don't think, after 45 years of only Whirlpool, that I will ever get another one.

Wash button is confusing. You have to push it more than once for it to start...and there is a delay, so you don't know if you pushed pause or if it is taking time. The Whirlpool laundry center doors and outer frame seem a lot more hollow than my old one. Doors are thinner sounding.

It's fine but I have 2 big issues 1. The dials are on the top and I get dizzy at times trying to set my washer controls. 2. The dryer door takes 2 hands to pull it open. I loved and miss my Magtag w/d.

It™™s a nice machine very heavy to move but it seems to do a good job of cleaning . Quiet machine. The door to the dryer needs a magnet instead of that spring catch . You have to push it hard to close the door. This is a pain when you are trying to be quiet . It does move a little when the washer is running . Seems to do a good job and it is bigger inside than I thought from the photos

I needed a new laundry center, my 1st one lasted me 25 yrs.. It was a Frigidaire. Whirlpool was the closest one to my old one. I'm old school and am having a hard time adjusting to the water input, as my old one filled all the way up. But, it has saved me money, already, on my water bill and my clothes are just as clean if not cleaner. I hope I get the life out of My Whirlpool like I did with my other one. It's nice having something new :)

I am so pleased with my new stackable. I especially like the way the washer decides the size of the load. I find the dryer door a bit hard to shut. You have to give it a good push. Other than that it™™s perfect

As a single male, I didn™™t do my homework by checking how sturdy and well built this unit was, I trusted your brand name because my last set of stacked W/D from you was a well built product. The product I bought this time is a TIN CAN that spins. I live in a twin and I™™m scared I™™m going to wake up my neighbor when I shut the dryer door because it™™s so loud. It™™s a piece of junk™¦.but shame on me, I bought it and I™™ll have to live with it. But I will never buy or recommend any Whirlpool product to anyone.

Works great. Would have Like the dryer door to open the other way so is swung towards the wall. I was told that that could not be done. Now it opens into the room making it difficult to unload and fold clothes. This should be optional

Drier door opens very hard, hopefully will get easier when used a bunch.
Drier shakes a bit and has thumping noise like something not in balance ??
Our last Maytag lasted 28 years, I don't think this one will, made pretty light.
Installers say maybe 7 years. Great...

I'm thrilled to finally have a new washer/dryer center and not a used one. it works beautifully. I am glad that whirlpool is #3 in reviews of all washers/dryers which is a relief. I did get the warranty once the unit arrived as I just know the buttons will absolutely not last long. This is my only complaint other than some sounds the machine makes are a bit startling for a new machine.

Garbage. Has never worked. Never washed one load of laundry. Finally had them come pick it up and refund my money. 1st day was a problem sent a repairman for a brand new machine e. Said it needed a control panel however its back ordered for another 3 weeks. Unable to get replacement machine for the same reason.

Very disappointed in this purchase. I am still unable to do a load of laundry and it has been in my house 12 days and it will be another 10 days before I may be able to use it. I have not been able to wash one load of clothes. It needs a new control panel which is back ordered for two weeks.IT is a two week wait to get a different machine to replace the one I have. Not a happy customer at all!

We owned another that was exactly the same and don't ask me why we bought another, we thought ours was maybe a lemon. The drum was built to FAIL. The previous drum felt like the house was coming down when it was on spin cycle. The new one is already doing this after less then 5 washes. I'm not sure anyone will even read this. I tried to call whirlpool but the prompts never lead you to a live person. It was very expensive to install and I feel like I'm left with another $1600 lemon. If anyone from whirlpool reads these reviews I would be grateful for some help.

It is a large capacity more than I thought it would be. Seems to work great except there is squeaking when the dryer is running and sometimes when the washer is spinning and emptying it shakes like crazy.

Works great, washer quiet. Dryer quick also. My problem is space. Our condo has a cupboard for unit and it is a bit short on space as this unit is bigger in depth than my last set. Dryer door is a bit hard for me to open my arthritus hands need the deeper handle opening.

This is by far the best laundry center I™™ve owned and it™™s my third! It™™s quiet! It has all the setting and functions that I like and wanted! It™™s early in my review still - but it cleans and dries perfectly. I would recommend.
